James Dupre’ Talks New Single “Stoned To Death”
As a notable member of team Adam Levine on NBC’s “The Voice”, James Dupré earned the respect of millions of viewers, but this was not his first taste of fame. The YouTube sensation (approx. 10 million views) had quite the following as early as 2007, and was invited to perform on “Ellen” in 2010 before landing a record deal in 2011. As a former EMT-Paramedic from Bayou Chicot, Louisiana, Dupré’s humility and charm are as memorable as his uniquely strong baritone vocals. As a writer on 7 of the 10 tracks on his new album, co-written with hit-makers Neal Coty, Jessi Alexander and more, James is proud to share Stoned To Death produced by Jordan Lehning (Kacey Musgraves, Kree Harrison) with his existing and new fans alike.
James has been featured on Sirius XM’s The Highway and Spotify! Dupré has been highlighted on Nash Country Daily’s “Who’s New” feature, included as one of Rolling Stone Country’s “artists you need to know,” selected for CMT’s Artist Discovery Program, and many more notable highlights. After premiering in June, the video for “Stoned to Death” remains on the fan-voted CMT Music 12 Pack Countdown and the single has over 750,000 streams on Spotify.
