Last night some of Nashville’s talented artists gathered at the Soulshine Pizza Factory for Song Shine and despite the rain it was a fun night filled full of soulful music, beer specials and pizza! What more could you love, right?

Host and singer/songwriter, Aubrey Wollett has been the mastermind behind Song Shine for the last three years. Artists can submit their music to her and she works at creating the lineup which takes place every Tuesday night from 6-9pm at the Soulshine Pizza Factory.  A musician herself, Wollett has a talent for seeking out incredible artists, but after-all it is the music capital of the world and the talent is unlimited. There are between 10-12 artists that are booked for the night and each artist plays around 4-5 songs, the sets are short which definitely helps in keeping the audience engaged.

I can’t carry a tune AT ALL but last nights artists had me singing along to almost every song, playing hits off their latest EP’s and singing some songs that they helped co-write for big name artists. I think it’s a neat experience to watch an artist grow from the beginning stages and if you’re looking for a cool place to go and watch local talent with a chill atmosphere, then Soulshine is the place.
